Nice to meet you, I'm Romain Osi.
For nearly two decades, I've been creating experiences through photography, storytelling and places.I lived and worked in Paris and New York, spent thirteen years photographing Paris professionally, and founded We Oui, France's first Creative Surprisers agency - creating immersive experiences where everyday life briefly felt like cinema.Today, I'm based in Finistère, on the western coast of Brittany, where the calm and ever-changing light of the Atlantic Ocean continue to inspire me.My work continues through three projects, each exploring a different way of inviting people to slow down, dream and see the world a little differently.
Brumes Editions
Photography, stories and carefully crafted objects designed to create small escapes from everyday life. From limited edition prints to monthly letters and immersive experiences, Brumes explores how ordinary places can become extraordinary when we simply change the way we look at them.
The French instant
Receive a little piece of Paris in your mailbox, every month.A signed Polaroid print, a personal letter and a sound postcard, carefully mailed from France. After thirteen years photographing Paris professionally, I now share the city one envelope at a time.
Maison Yumoki
A Japanese escape in Brittany.A retreat inspired by Japan, created for those who dream of slowing down without travelling across the world. More than a place to stay, it's an invitation to disconnect, breathe and experience a quieter rhythm of life.
Twenty Years of Photography & Exhibitions
Photography has always been my way of telling stories ⎼ through gallery exhibitions as well as projects created for public spaces. My work has been commissioned by cultural institutions, brands and hospitality projects, while also being exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces around the world, from intimate exhibitions to large-scale installations in cities such as Paris, London, Havana, Mexico and Bali.Whether creating personal work or commissioned projects, I've always been drawn to the same idea: using photography to tell stories, reveal the atmosphere of a place and invite people to see the familiar with fresh eyes.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with remarkable people and organizations. Here are a few clients, exhibitions and publications that have been part of the journey.
